April 24 – birth anniversary day of Dr Rajakumar is celebrated in several places in Karnataka. The government of Karnataka has a function at a prominent place in Bengaluru while the cultural event to raise funds for Samarthanam Handicap Organisation in association with Raj Events is conducting a musical evening on 24th at Jayanagar Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium. The ticket price fixed range from Rs.500 to Rs.2000.

The legends like Maestro Ilayaraja, Dr KJ Yesudas, Vani Jayaram, S Janaki, Manjula Gururaj are on one platform on that musical evening. Dr B Saroja Devi, Srinagara Kitty, Roopini, Pankaj, Rishika Singh, Harshika Poonacha, Patre Ajith and others are participating in the event. Malur Srinivas is heading the choreography division. Music directors Arjun Janya, V Harikrishna, Gurukiran are taking part.

The event is to raise funds for the Samarthana Handicap Association.
